Votsalaki Mykonos Boutique Resort - Where futuristic minimalism meets the paradise

Hey guys,

welcome back to the blog and I truly hope you’re all doing great during these difficult times.

It’s been a while since I was invited by the beautiful people of Votsalaki Boutique Resort in Mykonos, in order to create content of their unique architecture and interior design for the new holiday season coming up soon.

As the beautiful resort is opening its doors again in June, I thought it might be a good idea to share some of my impressions and content that I created for them a couple months ago. So let’s grab a cold one, lean back and enjoy some of the following images to fuel your wanderlust for when things start to get back to normal again soon.

The Votsalaki Boutique Resort is only a 4 minutes walk away from famous Paradise Beach, Mykonos and follows a very unique approach when it comes to the architecture of the overall facility in order to offer a luxurious holiday home with resort amenities. Everything is designed to be very minimalistic and perfectly integrates into the overall environment of the area. The center of the the resort hosts an inviting pool area including an outdoors mini gym, a yoga deck as well as a pool bar offering cold beverages and amazing food. Oh and let’s not forget to mention the stunning view over the Paradise Beach area.

The design and placement of the pool itself are very beautiful and hint the idea of water running down from the hillside’s spring leading into the pebble-shaped infinity pool. The outer facades of the buildings hosting the rooms have a very special design approach as well. As you can see on the images above, they lack any straight lines usually found on traditional constructions in Europe. This makes the whole Resort blending in even more with the surrounding environment, especially as everything is built and constructed with materials right from the area itself. I’m definitely a big fan of the unique and well executed approach of sustainability when it comes to the overall construction of the Votsalaki Boutique Resort.

Now you might already think that the resort is pretty unique and beautiful and I definitely won’t argue with you on this one. But let’s wait until you see the interior of their rooms!

All in all, the Votsalaki Boutique Resort is a perfect match for the modern traveler, who is looking for a nice retreat after a long day of exploring the beautiful island of Mykonos. I enjoyed my stay with them to the fullest and recommend it to anybody who’s up to visiting Mykonos this summer or at any time in the future.
